About Us

Feed My Creative is a ‘Creative Arts Studio’ a social enterprise with an aim to bring out the creativity in young people and adults.

It is a project that will emphasise sustainability by showing people how they can reuse clothing, accessories, soft furnishing and furniture therefore reducing waste.

It will identify the type of products that people would be interested in making such as everyday clothing for themselves, accessories or re-upholstering furniture they cannot afford to replace. This will help their money go further if on a limited budget. It will also help to up skill some people for work and address social isolation.

My project gives people the freedom to learn in a ‘No Limits’ environment, learn basic skills and the means to know how to create things for themselves at a relatively low cost.

In order to provide this service, it is vital that we can generate income from various sources to continue providing a quality service.

All our products are carefully made by hand and as we only use recycled materials each product is as unique as the next.

Working with you to become more sustainable.

Donations of textiles come from a well known high street store.  Anything that cannot be remade into a different product are donated to a variety of different causes.

Items are made from a range of different products.  The gilet (pictured) was made from a settee slip cover.  All the features of the original product were used to make the product unique, even the zip was reused.

It is important that we can prevent items going to landfill so we will try and use as much as we can when recycling.

See our gallery for more images of items that have been made.

Bedding and soft furnishing have been donated to the following charitable organisations

Anawim is a Women's Centre based in Birmingham that provides a holistic service to women across the city. They recently celebrated their 30th anniversary supporting women across the region.

The Scrapstore Birmingham collects & sorts materials, or ‘scrap’, donated by individuals & businesses for redistribution to individuals & organisations supporting play & creativity.

Residents were able to make use of cushion pads and make their own covers for them.  They were also given rugs, bedding and a range of soft furnishing items.
