Feed My Creative’s Janet Douglas has been shortlisted multiple times in the categories of ‘Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Sustainable Entrepreneur of the Year’ for the Midlands.
Notable past national winners include Social Chain founder Steven Bartlett, who went on to become the youngest ever investor on BBC’s Dragons’ Den.

The Social Entrepreneur Index lists the UK’s most inspiring social entrepreneurs. Its campaign focuses on the entrepreneurs behind the businesses, telling their story and providing inspiration to thousands of others to do more and go further in their businesses.
Feed My Creative’s Janet was listed in 2020 and 2022 in the Social Entrepreneur Index, among 55 inspiring social entrepreneurs in the UK.

Putting the spotlight on women of colour entrepreneurs and leaders
Launched in 2008 by writer and editor Foluke Akinlose MBE, the Precious Awards have acknowledged the achievements of hundreds of women, evolving into a movement and community which makes visible the trailblazing, change-making women of colour across the UK.
The Precious Awards are more than just accolades: they are a platform to honour the brilliance, resilience, and innovation of women of colour. Feed My Creative was the winner of ‘Creative Business of the Year’ in the Precious Awards 2020.
Winner: Nakuona Change Maker Awards, 2020
Celebrating African and Global Majority heritage in Birmingham
Nakuona means ‘I see you’ in Swahili. These events celebrate the leadership, community support and business achievements of men and women from African and Global Majority heritage in Birmingham.
In 2020, Janet was awarded with a Nakuona award for being a change maker.
Winner: Company of the Year 2020, All Women Achievers
Recognising women and girls who are doing outstanding work within their communities
Hosted by the Women & Families Resource Centre, the All Women Achievers Awards (AWAA) were a celebration of women’s contribution to the British society. Awards were presented to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of women who had overcome great cultural and social barriers to become exemplary role models within their communities.
In 2020, Feed My Creative won Company of the Year at AWAA.
Winner: Mumpreneur of the Year 2019, EYMA
Celebrating, supporting and empowering mothers
EYMA (Excellent Yummy Mummy Awards) are a celebration of mothers who are excelling at home, in business, work and in their community at large.
In 2019, Feed My Creative’s Janet was awarded ‘Mumpreneur of the Year’ by EYMA.
Winner: Theo Paphitis’s #SBS 2018
Giving small businesses valuable social media recognition
#SBS is one of the leading small business networks in the UK - and will mark its 15th anniversary in 2025.
Theo Paphitis created Small Business Sunday (shortened to the hashtag #SBS on social media) in October 2010 on the social media platform Twitter (now X). Every week since then, Theo has encouraged small businesses to describe their businesses for him in one tweet/post, and include the all-important hashtag #SBS.
Every Monday night at 8pm, Theo announces his favourite lucky six. In 2018, Feed My Creative was one of Theo’s top picks.
