An interactive storytelling exhibition held as part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival

and in late 2023 at the National Memorial Arboretum

‘The Chapters of Our Lives’ exhibition was held during and as part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival. It was a Creative City project, funded by Birmingham City Council

This seven-day interactive exhibition was at the Ironhouse, Birmingham. It captured the stories of ten Birmingham-based artists, creatives and influential people that Janet Douglas (Feed My Creative CIC) knows and had interviewed over a period of time.

These stories were based on the photograph(s) provided by each person and were connected to a speaker. As the exhibition was tactile and interactive, all you needed to do was gently touch the interactive parts that had been sewn in and you were then able to hear the person speak about the photograph.
